If you are injured in a motorcycle accident there are certain things you must do to protect your rights:
- Insist that 911 is called and a police report is done, even if you think you may not be injured at the time of the accident;
- Write down ALL contact information from other driver, or drivers;
- Write down the license plate number of all vehicles involved, including witnesses;
- Write down ALL contact information of witnesses;
- Promptly seek medical attention;
- Save all of the clothing you were wearing at the time of the accident;
- Take photographs of your motorcycle, all other vehicles involved (if possible), any injuries you or your passengers sustained (bruises, scrapes, road rash, cuts, etc.), and of the scene of the accident, showing, skid marks, broken glass or pieces, and any other physical evidence at the scene.
